License Agreement

Overview

This License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your use of the Headless Browser API and related services (“Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

Grant of License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the API for your internal business or personal projects.
You may integrate the API into your applications, scripts, or workflows, subject to plan limits and this Agreement.

Permitted Use

Rendering JavaScript-driven pages and automating headless browsers to extract or interact with publicly accessible content.
Using available features such as proxy rotation, anti-bot bypass, and optional CAPTCHA solving within your plan’s limits.
Compliance with applicable laws, target-site terms, and data privacy regulations.

Prohibited Use

Breaching target websites’ authentication, paywalls, or technical access controls.
Collecting personal data without a lawful basis or violating privacy/consumer protection laws.
High-risk activities (spam, DDoS, malware distribution, credential stuffing, or abuse of Tor/onion resources).
Reselling or sublicensing the API or your access credentials without our written consent.
Reverse engineering, benchmarking for publication without consent, or using the Service to build a competing API.

API Keys & Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and account. All activity under your keys is deemed authorized by you. If you suspect compromise, rotate keys immediately in your dashboard and notify support.

Rate Limits & Fair Use

Plans include specific rate limits and concurrency caps. We may throttle or suspend access that harms service stability or violates fair-use expectations.

Third-Party Sites & Content

You are solely responsible for how you access and use third-party websites. We do not control target sites and are not liable for changes, downtime, or legal restrictions they impose.

Ownership & IP

The Service, SDKs, and documentation are our intellectual property.
This Agreement grants usage rights only; no ownership is transferred.
You retain rights to your applications and to data you lawfully collect using the Service.

Availability & Support

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, network issues, or upstream changes may affect performance. Support channels and SLAs vary by plan.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of this Agreement or applicable law.

Term & Termination

This Agreement remains in effect while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or risks to the platform. You may terminate by canceling your subscription and ceasing use.

Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which BrowserlessAPI operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated via email or dashboard notifications.
